It all started with a dream…
Layton Jones is a Mississippi native, raised in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. His upbringing consisted of strong faith and close family values, hunting, hard work, & football. He attended Ole Miss University as a Business & Journalism Major, where his talents on the Football field landed him the Tight End position. He then went on to be recruited to play professional football in Poland where he took the opportunity to travel & experience life outside of the country. Once returning to his Southern Roots, he decided Nashville was a place he wanted to call home and started building his business in real estate & land development.
Layton found this piece of property on New Hope Rd that had been completely overgrown and run down and yet he envisioned a place where the hustle and bustle of daily life slows down and people are able to take a step back to see what’s important, relax, and take a beat from pounding the pavement. He wanted a place where guests could enjoy a peaceful walk around the pond while being greeted by ducks, enjoy farm fresh eggs from chickens, meet the albino turkeys, take a dip in or a moment of pause to listen to the peaceful and tranquil sounds of the Sycamore Creek. He also wanted somewhere guests could enjoy food and drinks served on-site.
Jones Farm is an extension of Layton’s upbringing and the Southern pride instilled in him since an early age. His family are avid outdoorsmen & Layton’s love for land & nature runs deep. For Layton and his family, Jones Farm represents peace in the midst of a chaotic world. Being surrounded by nature, farm life, fresh running water & people gathering to celebrate & enjoy themselves is worth all the hard work it takes to manage the day-to-day business.
Layton jumped in and got to work with his own hands to create this little piece of heaven outside of Nashville for his growing family. Under a tight timeline, he got the property up and the first wedding held at Jones Farm was Layton and his wife Ashla in the fall of 2022. During this time he dedicated this piece of land to the Lord and the local community.
